Peace At The Family Dinner Table

Do you secretly wish your family could be more like the Huxtables (and maybe even feel a little embarrassed or even cynical about your desire)? Are you deeply concerned that your tween son or daughter is having sex but if you even ask if they have a boy/girlfriend they just shrug and you drop the conversation? Do you crave engaging your family in serious topics - like your political beliefs and concerns, your spiritual life, arts and culture, or your child's fears about terrorism - and don't know how to start the conversation?

You love your family and want what you (and your spouse/partner) believe is best for them. But you barely have the energy to even get them all at the table at the same time. And why aren't they helping out, anyway?

This six-week class is for parents who value learning and sharing experiences with other parents. By the end of the class, you should be able to:

• Establish and enforce Family Rules so that you have a smoothly-running household.
• Work as a team with your partner/spouse as you plan, organize, and set goals.
• Model speaking and listening without the drama, tears, tantrums, and whining.
• Engage with your husband/partner and children about issues important to you and them.
• Learn how to create a household where each of you reaches your true potential.
• Make your home life so fun and inviting that your children will want to hang out with you.

Each class runs 1-1/2 hours and is limited to 10 participants when it is held at my West Los Angeles office. For those parents who live outside the immediate area, I also facilitate the class by telephone (teleclass). A Workbook will be provided for each participant.
